Birthday celebration

What a birthday... Well, I have officially been around the sun 33 times. Folks keep telling me 33 is a good year. I feel sure it will be. I have had the most amazing birthday. I feel really blessed to have such wonderful friends and family in my life to celebrate with. Monday night the celebration started with Jason and I going out and having dinner while India and Kalib went to meme's to make me this glorious cake. (They did the decorating). At dinner Hubb gave me the coolest bag and wallet I think I have ever had. He informed me all my bags suck and this one is loaded with pockets, so I should be able to find everything in it. He wasn't kidding, the bag is loaded with pockets. On Tuesday, at Spanish the other moms and kids threw me a surprise party filled with Newman O's (I still want to know who knew how much I love those), dark chocolate (can't live without it), strawberries, and sparkling juice in wine glasses for a toast. All the kids made me birthday cards which I will always cherish and brought me items from their yards. I got some very cool rocks, a couple of sea shells, some acorns for good luck, a stick with very small pine cones, and a stick that has some very interesting markings on it, and 3 vases of glorious blooms straight from the trees and gardens of my friends. What I want to know is how they knew I would love these items from their yards so much! Tuesday night, I got to celebrate my birthday with my family. We had dinner and came back to our house for this very yummy cake made by the hands of my children. They bought me a gas grill and my wonderful husband put it together for me already! I can't wait to use it! By the end of the summer, I hope to be the grilling queen! Lastly, last night I was lucky enough to have friends who put together a very quick birthday celebration at Megan and Micheal's and was able to celebrate with most of my closest friends. The night was filled with laughter and meaningful conversation. Darrin and Mary danced for me (I don't think I will ever forget that), Sarah made a beautiful cake, there was yummy food, and all the gifts were so thoughtfully given. My favorite gifts are the ones people put thought into. those are the gifts I always cherish the most and have the most sentiment. I am a very lucky woman to have so many friends willing to celebrate my birth. I truly feel like I am the luckiest woman ever to have a life filled with such wonderful people. I hope I am able to give back in the coming year and shower you all with the same love you continue to shower me with. Thank you all, family, friends, and children, for celebrating with me. If this is the start to a new year for me I can't wait to see how it evolves! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

  2. This is a late 'happy birthday' from me.

Thirty-three is a good year -- although, reportedly, it didn't turn out to well for Jesus. Or maybe it did. Depends on your perspective, I guess.

Anyway, I glad you had a good week. You deserve it.

Also, that is a great looking cake.
