The kids weren't even out of the bed good before they were ready for more climbing. This time Jason tied the ropes in a tree in the back yard. The knots were hard to push up and it is so much harder than it looks. I even tried, but couldn't figure out how to slide the ropes and we might should invest in a harness of some kind at some point. For now, we are looking into tree climbing classes for the 4 of us to take - it is something Jason and I have talked a lot about and it seems like now is the time if ever there was one!

India gets it how to do it and can get up almost to the first limb, but it is really hard to move the knots.
Might be the perfect time to read The House Above the Trees!

That looks like so much fun! My children have all just decided to use brute strength and partial insanity to climb. I can't even watch them most of the time, because they scare me!
Mine have not been fortunate enough for us to have good climbing trees in our yard - they have a few they can climb in our woods, but they don't go very high unless one of us are out there with them. Plus, it is something Jason and I have been wanting to learn to really get up into the tree tops of trees since he became an arborist.
