Everyone who knows me, knows I love to take pictures of my family. I'm not really a video kind of gal. I like to have still shots that I can go back to and look at and remember those moments. I am all about having a camera in my kids face. A few years ago I updated my digital camera to a nice Panasonic Lumix with an awesome zoom lens, but it is such a bulky camera and takes up my whole bag not to mention it is kind of heavy, but not as heavy as some of those SLR camera's. I have loved that camera to the point of some of the buttons no longer have descriptions on them. It will still be around the house because we sold it to India who also has a love of taking pictures. This is where our buying a new camera for ourselves started. She started looking at camera's and the ones she could afford really weren't very good camera's for her in the long run and I was already wanting a point and shoot camera that I could easily carry in my purse, so I started doing my own research and found a few different camera's I really liked, but to decide when I know really nothing about the ins and outs of camera's and what all that lingo means when you read the descriptions. You definitely have to be into camera's to understand all that writing in the description. Thankfully, we have a few friends who were happy to look at them for me and give me some advice in laymen terms. It was between this one and another Lumix or a Nikon, but I bought this one because it had ALL the features I was looking for with only a slightly higher price than the Nikon. The Lumix got voted out early on because one of the things I didn't like about the one I have it that it never took good pictures in low light and the flash was only OK. Anyhow, I'm rambling, just to tell you I got a NEW CAMERA and it does all the stuff my old camera did in a much smaller and a little lighter package (it still is a little heavier than I thought it would be)! I love it and can't wait to take lots and lots of new pictures AND we are heading to the beach in a few days, so I will be able to carry it easily in my bag and take many many pictures of the kids and J while having fun in the sun! India is excited because for a very low price she has a very great camera! I can't wait to see what she does with it! Pictures to come soon from it! YIIIPPPPEEEEE!!!!!
Hope summer is treating you all well as the days get warmer!
